There is something wonderful about a small race event. And there are many wonderful things about the Oregon Coast. So put all that together and sign up for the Sunset Bay Trail Run to have a wonderful day.
There are multiple distance options that promise scenic views of the coast: half marathon, 15K, 4-mile, or 1-mile. The 1-mile option is a fun-run on the beach and FREE for all participants. The other options will have participants taking on challenging climbs to earn those spectacular views.
“Seriously, this race has it all, killer hills through the woods, an amazing mostly flat cliff section where you’ll see sea lions, ocean rocks, the deep blue sea, and if you’re very lucky, a passing whale.”
The events start and end at the yurt just south of Sunset Bay State Park. There are restrooms available in the start area, plus at the 4-mile mark for the longer events. Participants need to bring their hydration and other resources with them. This is a low-cost event on an open-course: make good choices.
Race shirts are available for purchase and the top winners earn a ribbon award. All participants must be done by 1pm.
