Huckleberry Run Festival – Bigfoot Runs Here

You’ve got to love a race that features Bigfoot!  Join other Bigfoot lovers at the 2024 Huckleberry Running Festival this August in Welches, Oregon. This event has a half marathon, a 10k, a 5k, and even a 1k Kids Sasquatch Sprint – a distance for everyone!

The Huckleberry Running Festival begins at Welches Middle School. Parking is limited so definitely consider carpooling.

What makes the Huckleberry Running Festival special (other than Bigfoot!) is the scenery. It’s stunning! With the semi-closed route being a large loop on paved, flat surfaces, and some rolling hills thrown in for a little challenge. You’ll truly get to explore the Mt. Hood area with this race.

10K participants will take in the gorgeous Cascade Mountains Range, and see “the scenery of moss-filled trees and woodsy homes”. The half marathon will follow the 10k course, with the addition of a few miles, and will take you across the Salmon River twice. The 5k will travel around the gorgeous fairways and into The Resort at the Mountain neighborhoods. This out and back course might make you want to keep going to see more!

Besides enjoying the beautiful scenery, runners will also receive complimentary Bigfoot photos, a finisher’s shirt, and a unique finisher’s medal.
