Stride and Sip at the St. Patty’s Leprechaun Pub Hop in the Gorge

The Hood River area of the Columbia Gorge holds a special place in my heart for both running and enjoying local brews. It’s hard to argue there is much better than traversing the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail or Indian Creek Trail, followed by an IPA at Ferment Brewing or a pint and slice at Double Mountain. So, the St. Patty’s Leprechaun Pub Hop run on March 16, combines both seamlessly.

Organized by the Columbia Gorge Running Club, this intimate event unfolds in Stevenson WA, just across the river from Hood River. It’s a simple and easy drive and basically feels like it is an extension of Hood River.

The run kicks off at 11:30 AM from Walking Man Brewery, the 5K course weaves through the city, concluding conveniently for a post-run lunch and beer celebration.
