Small Race Preview: 2016 Clackamas Cougar Run (Oregon City)

Cougar Run 5k

The Clackamas Cougar Run takes place at Clackamas Community College in Oregon City on Saturday, May 28th. This fun filled 5k obstacle race benefits the CCC mental health services and the counseling department. The run is family friendly, and you are invited to stay for a BBQ lunch and vendor fair afterwards.

The event takes place entirely on the campus of Clackamas Community College in Oregon City. The course weaves between buildings, and there are more than 20 obstacles. Their names range from self-explanatory (e.g. balance beam, monkey bars, and mud hill) to bizarre (Jabba the Hutt). Judging by the construction pictures on the event page, the obstacles are sure to be fun and challenging. If you encounter an obstacle that is too hard for you, rest assured that completion of obstacles is optional without penalty.

Registration is open, and is $30 per person ($25 for students). All participants receive a tshirt and BBQ lunch.
