Love the cold winter weather? Well, here’s your chance to get out there and Freeze Your Fanny in chilly Madras, Oregon for a good cause. Choose to run, walk, and/or swim at this event benefiting MountainStar Family Relief Nursery. An organization whose mission is to “prevent child abuse and neglect through community support and therapeutic services that help vulnerable children and families succeed.”
This race includes a 3 mile run/walk, an 8 mile “Prison Breakout Run”, and a Biathlon (3 mile run and 500 yard swim.) The Prison Breakout Run looks like quite the challenging course with a lot of ups and downs along the way.
Your registration fee for this event includes a long-sleeved shirt, chili feed, and swim afterwards. There will also be prizes for race winners. This family friendly event at the aquatic center even includes free swimming for kids while you run!
