Are you looking for a wallet-friendly race? The 4th annual Soles2Souls is one of the most affordable races I’ve seen in awhile. At just $12.50 for the 5K or 10K, this April 4th race will not break the bank!
The Soles2Souls is a fundraiser for the Healthy Kids Program at West Hills Christian School (WHCS) in Portland. WHCS is a K-8 school with approximately 450 students. This year the funds will benefit their track and field program. We runners can definitely get behind that! This race, with its sole focus on fundraising, qualifies as one of Run Oregon’s Certified Non-profit races.

Soles2Souls course follows the Fanno Creek Trail and includes the neighboring business parks, as well. The route map is available online here. 5K participants will run the loop once, while 10Kers will make the loop twice. This double loop will allow 10K runners to get their split times for both the 5K and 10K!
Also included with this event is a free Kids’ Race and a Virtual Run option for either the 5K or 10K if you can’t make it on race day, but would like to help support this great cause.
I am looking forward to participating in Soles2Souls for my first time. I love the hometown feel of small venue races. And, as a former teacher turned personal trainer, I am always up for supporting schools and encouraging kids (and adults) to be active. This event is a win-win in my book! Get out and support this small school track and field program with me. If you can’t make it, please consider registering for the virtual run option, which is just as affordable as the actual event.
