Race Preview: Dirty Duck 5k Eugene

Are you a Duck Fan? Are you a runner? Then this is the race for you! The Dirty Duck 5K; a run/walk put on by Duck fans for Duck fans!

The race gods felt you needed to know about this race, or a Dirty Duck fan who passed by my car and saw all the race stickers on it. Either way, it was meant to be that I told you about The Dirty Duck 5K.  This is a unique race that fetaures several heats, with multiple “duck stations” along the 3.1 mile course.

 

Details:

Where: Alton Baker Park, 632 Day Island Road,  Eugene, OR

When: Saturday, August 2nd

5k Start time: first heat starts at 1000, with additional heats every 250 registrants.

Cost: currently 49* until August 31 Then: $59 until DOR), Kids 6-14 Years: $15, Kids 5 and under and strollers: FREE ($15 for an additional Race Shirt)

***Buy 3, Get 1 FREE available with all options – $36.75 per person: summer duck registration (add $15 for t-shirt) (through 8/31 at 11:59 PM)

 Extra details:

Course:  Run or walk the course and “Duck Stations” You will experience the full colors of green and yellow color explosions and showers of feathers. It’s been known to be a little dirty and just a bit murky on The Dirty Duck trail so consider yourself warned and dress appropriately (They strongly recommend white shirts) Duck stations include:

  • One Feathering Station: Green, yellow and white feathers of course .
  • Four Color Explosion Stations:  Only green and yellow (Made in the USA, High Quality, Vibrant Colors, Designed Not to Stain, 100% Safe and Non-Toxic, Biodegradable).
  • and a Grand Finale

Registration includes: 

  • A ducked-out time!
  • Dirty Duck Race Bib
  • Dirty Duck sunglasses
  • Post-race Snacks; bananas, bagels, chocolate milk and doughnut holes
  • Post-Race Tailgater at 11:30am

Disclaimer- there is no bag check and there is a parking fee of  $5 (so carpool)
