Carbon plated shoes are big right now, and it’s easy to see why. When I put on a pair, I feel like an elite runner, and I’m not even close to fast. They just give you a little something extra.
ALLSWIFIT is a small shoe company, and has launched a brand-new full-length Carbon Plate Running Shoe that is much more affordable than most (or really, all) at just $120. And these shoes are so light, you’ll really feel like you’re flying.
Looks & Fit
I received a pair of the ALLSWIFIT shoes in a black and hot pink colorway. They are a size 9, which is a full size larger than my regular shoe but the standard size I get to run in. Some brands run a bit larger and some a bit smaller, but in this case, I felt that the size 9 was the right call. I don’t think I’d want them to be any smaller, and my feet don’t slide around in them.
Function & Construction
These shoes have propulsion properties that will help you blast off! The foam in both the insole and midsole will deliver 80% and up in energy return, which is reminiscent of running on a bouncy track.
These shoes have an integrated arch-support structure which really helps keep everything streamlined and smooth. The Precision reinforcement ribs and wraparound TPU support will offer your feet that gentle hug that you need for a nice stable and controlled ride.
The best part about these shoes is the lightweight construction. They disappear as soon as you get them on, at only 6.5 oz. (US mens size 9) in weight. Additionally, the upper is made of just one piece, which helps reduce extra unneeded weight without sacrificing the support you need.
Most carbon-plated shoes are targeted for elite runners, but the ALLSWIFIT shoe was developed for “goal-oriented runners targeting a full marathon pace of around 7:00-8:30 min/mi.” So many of us are looking to try a carbon plate in a shoe but also want the practicality and stability of a regular training shoe.
It doesn’t hurt that these are far more affordable than the typical carbon-plated shoe either. The ALLSWIFIT Carbon Plate Running Shoe check all those boxes.
Overall/For Consideration
In a climate where running shoes are beginning to cost in the $200+ range – and those with plates go even higher – it’s great to have more affordable options. I mean, some runners have the desire and ability to invest in running shoes, but man – stuff adds up! If you aren’t an elite speed runner anyways, is it worth it to fork over 10 days’ worth of groceries for a plated super shoe? Maybe, but also maybe not.
Th fact that there is a company like ALLSWIFIT aiming to provide something solid together with a Carbon Plate Running Shoe is a valiant one. We aren’t gonna pretend it’s made as well or delivers quite as much tech and support as those $250+ options, but again that may not be all that necessary for many runner’s needs.
Either way, these shoes have a lot of bounce, are built for the miles ahead, and will get you to your finish line.
