Are you ready to Run for the Hills? This event, which will be on Sunday June 7th this year, features a 30k, an 8k, and even a 2 mile Fun Run and it’s located in beautiful Fitton Green Natural Area in Corvallis, OR. Runners will trek through Bald Hill Park and will be treated to scenic views and, yes, the hills as advertised!

All of the events start and end at the south parking lot of Benton County Fairgrounds. The 30k will kick off the day at 8:00AM and will feature climbs through Bald Hill, Mulkey Ridge connector, Fitton Green, and the Cardwell Hill and Crestmont Trust areas. There is approximately 3,037 feet of elevation gain.

The 8k will start an hour later at 9:00AM and promises both hills and some flat sections in Bald Hill Park and about 782 feet of elevation. 1.4 miles of this route will be on paved paths, and the rest of the 3.6 miles will be on dirt trails. There is also a non-competitive 2-mile run/walk that starts at 9:10AM and this one is almost entirely on paved paths (with the exception being a gravel parking lot for the finish).

You can view all of the course maps here.

Proceeds for this race will benefit the Greenbelt Land Trust Trail Fund which helps in purchasing the raw materials and equipment for trail construction and maintenance. This event is also part of the Corvallis Trail Series.
