The Mary’s Peak Trail Runs are coming up fast on June 13th! These trail races, which offer you a 100k (new this year!), 50k, and a 25k, have a limited field of only 300 runners. The location is in the coast range, about 20 minutes west of Corvallis in a town called Blodgett, and this race will be a very scenic trek through the Starker Forest. It’s actually on some of the same trails as the Mudslinger Trail Run.
On a clear day, you can see all the way out to the ocean.
All distances will leave from the Blodgett School. The new 100k piggie backs off the previous, now-retired, 50-miler, which has been considered one of the toughest in America.
- 100k = 6:00AM -This challenging course tackles some of the toughest terrain in Starker Forests and the Siuslaw National Forest, highlighted by an unforgettable summit of Mary’s Peak—the highest point in the Oregon Coast Range. Expect steep climbs, remote singletrack, and full support throughout, with aid stations spaced every 10 miles or less.
- 50k, with its single perfect summit course, leaves next at 7:30AM.
- Finally, the 25k, which takes runners through parts of the 50 Miler and 50k course – but not the Mary’s Peak Summit – will begin at 9:30AM.
All distances offer a challenging but beautiful course, and you’ll have bragging rights when you tell everyone that you ran to the highest point in the Oregon Coast Range.
Stick around after the race foor live music and take advantage of the Cowgirl Cookin’ onsite. I bet you’ll be hungry and there’s no doubt you’ll earn it!
