It’s TCS New York Marathon weekend! And if you’re looking to get your brain moving along with your legs, today’s New York Times Strands puzzle will be themed to celebrate the famed event. Both New York Times Games fans and marathon participants can expect to spot some familiar running-inspired phrases woven throughout the race-day puzzle.
In Strands, players connect letters in any direction to find theme words that share something in common, along with a “spangram” that describes the theme and touches opposite sides of the board. Finding three non-theme words unlocks a hint, and each letter is used only once per puzzle.
