The Best Shoes for your Hard-Earned Money: Skechers Aero Spark & Aero Burst

Advertisements

I received both the Aero Spark and the Aero Burst in a women’s size 9. The Spark came in the fun White/Multi Colorway and several friends have commented on how cute these look on. The Burst showed up in a cheery White/Yellow colorway. The sole has the look of some serious heftiness, but these don’t feel as heavy as they look. The shoes are also machine washable, which is great.

Function

The Aero Spark is designed for daily running. I love to throw these on for all my weekday runs and my feet feel as comfy after the run as they do before.

If you’re looking to go the distance, The Aero Burst is a great choice. The premium cushion will help get you through the miles comfortably without adding too much bulk to your journey. These are also a great everyday runner.

Construction & Fit

Both the Aero Spark and Aero Burst feature a lace-up engineered mesh upper which is so light and breathable that you’ll barely notice them on your feet. Sketchers have a removable Arch Fit insole system with podiatrist-certified arch support that helps reduce shock and increases weight dispersion.

The outsole is made with Goodyear materials. Yep, THAT Goodyear, the brand that makes the best tires, so you can be sure these shoes deliver on good traction and durability. Also features of the Skechers running shoe are HYPER BURST ICE cushioning and a Carbon-infused H-plate and for stellar energy return, a soft cushy ride , and a run that feels both stable and secure. The Aero Spark and the Aero Burst have been granted the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance.

Both of the Aero shoes I tried felt great in a size 9, which is the size I typically wear in a running shoe despite the fact that I’m a size 8 in everyday shoes. These don’t slide around, they aren’t too narrow, and they mold well to my feet.

Overall/For Consideration

I feel comfortable taking either the Aero Spark or Aero Burst out for any run on the agenda, and they fit like a glove right out of the box. There’s really no adjustment period for me in Skechers, which is a nice option. Reliability and dependability go a long way in a running shoe, especially if you run as much as I do.

I recommend Skechers to runners all the time, and as a certified running coach who tries lots of different shoes, people do value my opinion. And at $130 for the Aero Spark and $150 for the Aero Burst, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck in a market where good running shoes are beginning to climb into the $200+ range.

Skechers $130-$150
