Gearing up for chilly weather with Korsa

The cold weather is officially HERE and if you’re like me, that doesn’t mean it’s time to hibernate. It’s just time to find that cold-weather gear and  to get outside and to just keep going. Luckily, Road Runner Sports has you covered with their premium athletic apparel brand KORSA. This line of athletic gear is exclusive to Road Runner and we were fortunate enough to try some items:

Looks

Every runner needs a good running vest because you’ll get the best of two worlds. You’ll keep your core warm but your arms (and armpits) will stay cooler, so you don’t overheat. I received the Aero Fill Run Vest in a color called “marsala” which I would describe as salmon. It’s such a cheerful color for the gray days of these winter months and I got compliments on it immediately when I met my friends for an evening run. There is an elastic hem at the bottom and zippered pockets.

The Glacier Tech Full Length Tights came in the color “teak” which looks like a rich, gorgeous wine hue. These tights have a drawcord through a slim but stretchy elastic waist with the logo name on them. There is one side zipper pocket on the left thigh, and though it’s not quite big enough for some phones, it should hold a car key, a debit card, and/or a gel easily.

The Metropolitan Hoodie arrived in “heather black,” which is the perfect charcoal shade to wear with absolutely everything. There are side pockets with zippers, and they are large enough to fit your phone or just about any other small item you might need.

Function and Construction

What makes the Korsa Aero Fill vest different that many other running vests is the strategic construction of materials. There is high tech welded quilted padding on the chest and back to help keep your core warm and to protect you where the wind hits you first. My back stayed warm on a cold evening run in this vest, and it was really pleasant. The elastic hem also keeps the wind from coming in at the bottom and there’s even some padding in the collar.

I think I will likely live in the Glacier Tech Tights all winter (when they aren’t in the dirty clothes bin!) The jersey brushed fabric is so buttery soft on the skin that I could (and have) wear them all day. The fleecy inside feel of the lining is plush, cozy, and warm. Reflective heat transfer is built in for visibility and the fabric is antimicrobial and moisture-wicking. These tights won’t pill or snag either!

As mentioned already, the Metropolitan Hoodie has zippers on the side pockets, and this is a big selling point for me. I wear hoodies a lot in my daily life and hate carrying a purse, so I’m always worried I’ll lose something when I put stuff in pockets without zippers. The material on this hoodie is very lightweight, but it also keeps you warm, so it’s great for layering. It’s very stretchy and soft as well.

Fit

I ordered the vest in a size medium, and it was the perfect size for me. Because of the elastic band on the bottom hem, there is significant stretch around the waist.  And though there is padding in the spots you need it for the cold, it’s not bulky at all. There is a soft knit lower body and some comfy side panels which aid in making it move well with your body.

The tights came to me in large, and though I sometimes wear a medium, I knew these were compressive and I wanted them snug but not uncomfortable. I often struggle with insulated tights because the brushed fibers seem to want to drag down and sag as I move. That doesn’t happen with these. Once I pull these on and tie the drawstring, they stay put for the duration of my journey. Also to be noted is that these are a full length tight, so there should be no cold ankles for taller runners.

The hoodie I got is a size medium. I could have easily gotten away with a size small, but I like to wear layers and this will work well for that. I wouldn’t call the stye cropped but it’s got a bit of a boxy shape and it hits my long torso just below the waist.

The Korsa Metropolitan Hoodie and Joggers are a perfect match for anyone looking for a clean, classic, and versatile activewear set. Whether you’re cozying up on the couch or heading out for a brisk walk, the Metropolitan set delivers. That said, I did find the hoodie’s sleeves a tiny bit on the short side. While I recognize that I have longer arms, I would’ve preferred a little extra length for a better fit.

 

Overall, this hoodie and jogger combo shines as a pre- or post-run staple or as everyday wear for active individuals who appreciate practicality and style. The minimalist design, free of excessive logos or embellishments, underscores their quality. They’re not flashy—they’re just solid, reliable pieces that look and feel great. A small tweak in sleeve length would make the hoodie perfect, but it’s still a fantastic option overall.

Overall

Hurray for warm clothes that are also stylish and comfortable, as well as functional. All of the items I reviewed from Korsa are built very well and should last me through many winters. They fit well, don’t chafe, slide or itch, and they will keep me warm when the sun’s not out to play. The materials feel high quality, and that gets increasingly important to me the older I get. It’s really the little things that matter, and Korsa gets it!
