Dress Like a Man: Underwear 21.0 – featuring Silkcut

If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you might know I have a bit of an obsession with men’s underwear. At one point, I was reviewing new pairs almost every month! Today, I’m thrilled to share our 21st post in the series, thanks to Silkcut Underwear.

The Company:

SilkCut Underwear kicked off over ten years ago with a simple idea: to transform men’s underwear into something super comfortable and innovative—something every guy deserves to wear. With clean lines and minimal branding, they’ve built a loyal fan base over the years.

Known for their awesome fit and unbeatable comfort, each piece is crafted with thoughtful design and quality materials. SilkCut is all about that luxury vibe with fabrics to ensure that wearers get the best in both quality and comfort.

The Products:

Writing about underwear might seem a bit unusual, but it’s one of those essential items that nearly everyone wears daily. Unlike running shoes and other activewear, which are important for us but not always a daily option, underwear is an everyday staple. That’s why we’ve maintained this series at Run Oregon for so long—it’s about finding pieces that bring quality and comfort to every part of life.

We’re not diving too deeply into the nuances of underwear, because most of us know what we’re looking for. That said, I’ve moved far beyond basic cotton options from department stores. While functional, those basics don’t hold up as well over time. I prefer underwear that performs more like activewear—durable, technically advanced, and designed to last. After a decade of testing countless brands, I’ve found pairs that are still going strong after years, which is a win for both my wallet and the environment.

Today, we’re reviewing two items from Silkcut (formerly known as Tani): a pair of boxer briefs and a T-shirt.

SilkCut Mens Boxer Briefs

Both pieces feature moisture-wicking technology—a must-have in both activewear and undergarments to stay dry and fresh all day. They’re crafted from a blend of 94% Micro Modal Air and 6% Elastane, which provides a seamless fit that feels soft on the body without bunching. They’re so comfortable, it’s like I’m not wearing anything at all—definitely a positive.

SilkCut Crew Neck T-Shirt

The T-shirt follows the same construction, and it fits close to the body without feeling tight. I’ve worn it both as an undershirt and on its own. My wife even commented, “that shirt hugs your muscles really nicely,” which is a big plus for me!

These pieces are definitely an investment, but in my experience, a small rotation of high-quality, long-lasting items beats constantly buying (and discarding) cheaper pairs every few months. Quality that endures is worth it, both for comfort and for reducing waste.

Silkcut also has other items like loungewear and other tops as well. Shop bundles for deals as well!
