Find a Long Run and Running Group: Rogue Valley Runners (Ashland)

We are lucky in Oregon, where there are many locally-owned running stores in towns from Ashland to Portland. We’re also lucky in that the owners of these stores aren’t content with “just” selling shoes … they consider it their privilege to offer group runs, help with races, and support youth and other cause running and racing programs.

Rogue Valley Runners is one of these stores. They are in a prime downtown Ashland location and are just mere blocks from miles and miles of trails in Lithia Park and beyond. For those of you not in the know, the owner is the world-famous Ultrarunner, Hal Koerner (we reviewed his great book here). RVR also puts on some great events throughout the year, including the Lithia Loop Trail Marathon, Tar N’ Trail 6-miler, and the Pine to Palm 100-miler. Ladies Run Mondays and Group Run Wednesdays (both occurring at 530pm) start and finish from their store.

We definitely recommend that you stop in for a run (or a race) next time you are down south. Pick up some of their logo gear.
