The race starts and ends at Rivenes Park in the heart of Hubbard, which is also where the Hop Festival takes place. The 5k and 10k start at the same time at 8am, and both courses are a big clockwise loop. You start by heading south on Front Street. After half a mile, the 5k turns left onto Broadacres Rd, while the 10k keeps going straight for almost two miles before turning right onto Crosby Rd. Both courses then turn north on Boones Ferry Road, turn right onto Mineral Springs to make their way back to the start/finish at Rivenes Park. Both courses should be mostly flat, and on a clear day you will have a beautiful view of the Cascades.
Timing is provided by Huber, which will give you instant results after you finish. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in the 5k and 10k.
After the run, stick around for the festival, which opens with the parade at 10am. There will be a beer garten, horseshoe competition, live music, bounce house and slide for kids, Lotta the Clown, public safety display, splash fountain, kids games, and much more.
