This event actually has a lot of options to choose from and do, giving just about anyone something to choose from to participate in. The 5k route heads out and around the South Waterfront which is a different route than the usual 5k downtown Portland races, making it a great opportunity to be able to run something new! There is a 1 mile walk option and a short “dash” for the kids who are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superheros to remind the men in their life to take charge of their health. And all kids who participate receive a cape! (I’m so jealous, I want a cape to run in too!). Finally, there is the Snooze for Dudes option which allows those that want to still participate but not actually be there to do the race virtually. Those doing this option will be mailed a cotton shirt that you can sleep in to show your support afterwards!
