Race Preview: 2017 Dash n Dine 5K and 15K

Looking for a quick adventure?  Level 32 Racing in Eugene is hosting the Dash N Dine 5K/15K with a start and end at the Holiday Inn Express.  Packet pickup before the race and post race festivities is located inside in the Oregon Room.  (If you are from out of town, the Holiday Inn is also offering reduced room rates online or call in and mention code DD5.)   If you are visiting Eugene, there is plenty to do to make this race a “getaway”.  For me (in the greater Portland area), Eugene is just far enough that I don’t go there often but close enough that I could get to the starting line the morning of the event and then take the afternoon to explore and have a “mini vacation”.

After the race, enjoy local ale from Claim 52 Brewing with some refreshments and $1 Dutch Brothers for participants.  Awards will be presented to the top three runners in each age group as well as the overall male and female finisher for both distances.

The start and finish for both races is in the South lot of Holiday Inn Express on Franklin Blvd (adjacent to the Dutch Bros. kiosk). The 5K crosses the Willamette River with the Autzen and Knickerbocker bridges while the 15K crosses the Willamette River with the Greenway (Valley River) and Knickerbocker bridges. When:  Sunday, Jan 22nd
8:30 am:  Day of race registration and packet pickup
10:00 am:  Race Start

Where:   Holiday Inn Express  (2117 Franklin Blvd, Eugene, Oregon)

Registration:  $25 for adults prior to race day and $20 for participants aged 17 and under or 60 and over.  For day of race registration, add $5 to race fees.  Shirts are available for purchase, however if shirt size options are unavailable when registering online, shirts are sold out.  A limited number of shirts will be available on race day.  Tech shirts are $12.  Register online or in person at Eugene Running Company (116 Oakway Center).
