This event raises money for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Santiam, the Oregon Military Support Network and the Lebanon Community Foundation. Individual registration is $45 ahead of time, or $125 for 2 adults and their immediate children. DOE registration is $55 and active military has a special price of $30. Registration includes entry for raffle prizes, a finishers medal, a beverage ticket and what is billed as a stellar after party including music and food.
This event is open to the first 500 registrants only, so signing up before hand is recommended. The run itself starts at 10, so check in begins at 8 and runs until 15 minutes before event start. After party starts at 11 and runs until…..whenever.
This event seems like it will be friendly for the rookie and the experienced adventure runner alike. With a ‘shorter’ course on flat ground, and people encouraged to help each other over the 10 obstacles, it is geared more towards the experience rather than a competitive slant. Dressing for the occasion will be necessary, as it may be a bit chilly or wet on November 14th.
