Registration is currently open, and the next price hike is on May 12th. The 5K is currently $45, 10K $55, and the half is $65. Add an additional $5 for DOE registrations. This includes a shirt as well as post race food. Half marathon finishers will receive a medal.
Each course is an out and back on open roads, though very lightly traveled. Be warned, you do have a hill to climb at the end of the race. There are three aid stations and port a potties at the 10K and half turnaround points. Packet pickup begins at 9 am on race day with the gun going off for the half at 10, 10K 15 minutes later and the 5K at 10:30. Huber Timing will be present for chip timed results.
You definitely want to hang out after the run to enjoy wine tasting, music and food. The small town race vibe in this region is great, everyone is generally open and friendly. I can personally guarantee that you will be blown away by the scenery in the area, as it is a great view of the hills and the valley. The later start also makes it easier for those that have a longer drive to the event. Come give running in the valley a try on May 15th, you won’t be disappointed.
