Race Preview: Epic Grind

Epic Grind obstacle run will be here before you know it!  Taking place on September 27-28, 2014 at Hagg Lake, this local, family organized, community based event is sure to be a hit again this year.  With 19 obstacles along the trails through fields and forest, this event will have you climbing, crawling, jumping, pushing, dragging, balancing, and who knows what else along the way.  This event offers both a 5K and 10K option and a Kids Run, as well.  This year, Epic Grind is donating some of the proceeds to Gale Creek Camp, a camp for kids with diabetes.

I am registered to run the 10K and I can’t wait!  I have never run this race before, but I’ve heard great things about it and the pictures make it look like so much fun!  With obstacles you’ve seen before and many you haven’t, this race is sure to challenge you and make you laugh.  (See more obstacles here.) I am truly looking forward to this adventure with a few of my friends.

What do you get at this race besides all the awesome obstacles?  A t-shirt, a pint glass, a free Oregon craft beer (for those 21 and over), post-race entertainment and vendors, and the chance to win prizes!  If you want to participate, register soon, as registration is limited to 1,000 racers. Date: Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27-28

Times: 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.  (sign up for your wave time when you register)

Location: Henry Hagg Lake, Boat Launch C, Gaston, Oregon

Race Fees: 10K   $65 (thru 8/15, then price goes up $10)

5K  $60 (thru 8/15, then price goes up $10)

Kids Run  $30 (thru 8/15, then price goes up $3)
