Tillamook Burn 100m
The mountainous, temperate Tillamook Rainforest in Northwestern Oregon is steeped in history, most notably, the legendary “Tillamook Burn” forest fires that consumed 355,000 acres of colossal old growth forest from 1933-1951. One of the largest tree replanting campaigns in human history led to the formation of the Tillamook State Forest in 1974. Today, a lush second-growth forest thrives here, offering dozens of miles of exceptional single-track trails for us to enjoy, while showcasing hundreds of massive, emblematic “grey ghost” snags and charred stumps-- enduring relics of the vast old growth rainforest that reigned here prior to the Tillamook Burn. he Tillamook Burn 100 miler is a springtime gem, offering an incredible early season mountain 100 miler in the Pacific NW on April 30th & May 1st. The format is mostly out and back with two […]

Mary’s Peak Trail Runs
Bold and Beautiful on May 14th, 2022 Nestled in the Heart of the Willamette Valley sits the highest peak in the Oregon Coast Range Marys Peak at 4097 Ft. Nestled on her slopes are a town, cemetery and old logging railroad. The streams that flow down the mountain’s sides provide water to Corvallis from the Rock Creek Watershed. Many of the lands surrounding Marys Peak were privately owned, until they were added to the Siuslaw National Forest to protect the source that provides Corvallis with 40% of their drinking water. The Stumptown Trail Runs half marathon is a fun, challenging and well-supported race that includes beautiful trails and lots of friends and family. These are running events; not walking races. Both races support the Forest Park Conservancy again this year.
