Get off the road and into the hills! The breathtaking views and stunning Snake River Valley scenery from the TOP of the Owyhees are worth the climb. Sumpter Fairgrounds Sumpter, OR, United StatesThe Elkhorn Crest 50 will take you along the Elkhorn Mountain ridgeline across sub-alpine forests and grasslands. The trail offers panoramic views of Baker Valley, the Wallowas, and the Blue Mountains. The race has an average elevation of over 7200ft, making it a one-of-a-kind ultra in Oregon. 11,000 ft of climbing and 11,700 ft of loss is packed into 53 miles (yep, you get an extra 3 for free!). The Elkhorn Crest Trail is a mix of smooth single track as well as rocky, technical sections. The course starts on an old mining road just outside of the town of Bourne and continues climbing roughly 2400 ft in 4.5 miles on your way to Cracker Creek Aid Station ( AS #1). Enjoy amazing scenery and challenge yourself while helping Pine Eagle High School raise money for a new track! The race starts at the old elementary school in Richland, Oregon. The 10K will finish at the top of the hill and the Half Marathon will finish at Pine Eagle High School in Halfway. Runners and walkers are welcome! There will be an early start for half marathon walkers ONLY.
Dam Good Run
McNary Dam Umatilla, ORHey everyone! After a few years of not having this event, we are excited to announce our first annual Damn Good Run! Besides running or walking next to the beautiful Columbia River, you'll have the unique opportunity to be on top of the McNary Dam. This section is not normally open to the public and offers great views of the river! This year we're hosting a 5k & 10k race that starts and ends at West Park (on 3rd street just 1/2 mile West of the Fish Viewing Room). The event will be chip timed by Eastern Oregon Sports Training and you'll be able to view your results online after the race. This starts in downtown Joseph, Oregon and is an out and back to the Hurricane Creek Trailhead. Part road, part dirt. We have the race, Wallowa County Farmers Market, and Post Race Yoga! This is also an opportunity to donate to the Wallowa Land Trust.

Elkhorn MountainsA 1 day 1-6 man relay team with a total of 82.24 miles. Runners will start at Hilgard State Park and end at Anthony Lakes Lodge. Runners will run on pavement, gravel, and trail with the beautiful Grande Ronde River and awe inspiring wilderness mountains all around them!
