Tillamook Burn 50k

Reeher's Camp Tillamook State Forest

The mountainous, temperate Tillamook Rainforest in Northwestern Oregon is steeped in history, most notably, the legendary “Tillamook Burn” forest fires that consumed 355,000 acres of colossal old growth forest from 1933-1951. One of the largest tree replanting campaigns in human history led to the formation of the Tillamook State Forest in 1974. Today, a lush second-growth forest thrives here, offering dozens of miles of exceptional single-track trails for us to enjoy, while showcasing hundreds of massive, emblematic “grey ghost” snags and charred stumps-- enduring relics of the vast old growth rainforest that reigned here prior to the Tillamook Burn. The Tillamook Burn 50K is a beautifully tough, heavily forested out-and-back course, run almost entirely on singletrack trail. It will be held Saturday April 23, 2022 (the weekend before the 100 miler). The route traverses the […]

Wyeast Wonder

Bennett Pass Sno Park Mt. Hood

The original east-of-Wy’east Mt. Hood race, this 50-miler and 50K is possibly our most scenic yet. You will want to return to these ridge line trails again and again. Oregon 200

Junction Sno-Park Crescent Lake, OR

You could say this 200-mile trail race was inspired by trail work. After helping out on the Middle Fork of the Willamette River a few years ago, we knew this area was special and that runners would love it and that we needed to create a trail race here. The Middle Fork trail alone is amazing enough, but why stop at a 50K when there is so much more to see and experience? We added in sections from the Oregon Timber Trail’s Kalapooya and Bunchgrass sections alongside Summit and Timpanogas lakes, up and down the Eugene to Crest trail and Bunchgrass Ridge, and then a lap all the way around Waldo Lake, with a finish line back in the town of Oakridge, to create an amazing 200-mile race. We present an adventure that will take […]

Dozens of pristine subalpine lakes highlight the crossing over the Pacific Crest to the drier, sunnier eastern side of the Cascades, with the race finishing on the shores of shimmering Crescent Lake. Land Acknowledgement: Kalapuya Crest travels on the ancestral lands of the native Kalapuya, Molalla and Klamath peoples, who […]

Mountain Lakes 100

Olallie Lake Mt. Hood

One of the country’s most beautiful 100-mile races starts at Clackamas Lake Historic Ranger Station (instead of the usual Olallie Lake, due to fire damage) and runs mostly along the Pacific Crest Trail. This race features the best trail running Oregon has to offer – technical and rocky sections, views of mountain peaks and lakes, and luscious sections of single track on the Pacific Crest Trail. If the area around Olallie Lake is recovered enough to host the event from there, we will. We’re assuming it won’t be and are planning to use the Clackamas Lake Historic Ranger Station again in 2022. The race is a lottery. You can enter the lottery starting January 30th, until February 5th at 6:00 p.m. PT. The drawing occurs on Sunday, February 6th at 10:00 a.m. PT. You can […]
