Autumn Trails

Frank Kinney Park Eugene, OR

All courses start and finish near Frank Kinney Park. All courses start with a loop on the Rexius Trail, between Martin St and Snell St. All courses climb up the Amazon Headwaters Trail to Fox Hollow Road. The 6 mile includes a loop over to  the new Dillard Road connector trail. The 10 mile includes a spur to  Willamette and Dillard. The 16 mile includes a spur out to Blanton  Heights, South Willamette (around the south side of Spencer Butte), and the relatively new Dillard connector trail.

Frozen Trail Run Fest

Expect wet & muddy conditions on the flat sections of Base Loop 1 and Base Loop 2. Steep Summit Loop has a short section on packed gravel road. (The .64 out & back section to AID2 is gravel as well.) The rest of the courses cover very well maintained trails of varying trail width and surfaces. Base Loop 1, 2 & Summit Loop all have small creek crossings. The 5K is very challenging - from 1.32 miles to 1.9 miles, the course goes straight up the mountain. The 50K is comprised of 4 loops, each gaining between 800 and 1000 feet of elevation. Bristow Trail Runs

The course consists of a 5.2 mile loop, all on single-track trails. The  course is entirely flat, on trails adjacent to the Willamette River.  Most sections of the course are wooded, muddy and wet. The 50K will cover the loop 6 times, the 25K will cover the loop 3 times, the 10M will cover the loop twice (yes, that makes the distance 10.4 miles), and the 5M will cover the loop once (actually 5.2 miles). This is a Casual and Fun 25k and 50k Run in Madras, Oregon. Through the grasslands and Willow Creek Canyon. This is not a formal race.  No times are recorded.  If you can’t run a 25k don’t stress.  Come run whatever distance you want.  You will be able to do an out and back run from the start. It is FATSO style. No pre-registration but we need you to sign the MADras Runners waiver. Suggested Donation: $20/runner or whatever you feel you can provide. Any amount is appreciated! It helps to cover the cost of the event.  All proceeds go to our Scholarship program.  They also help to cover the facility rental fee for the run. Bold and Beautiful on May 14th, 2022 Nestled in the Heart of the Willamette Valley sits the highest peak in the Oregon Coast Range Marys Peak at 4097 Ft. Marys Peak was known as Chateemanwi, or “place of spiritual power” to the native Kalapuya tribe who used the land for spirit quests.  Nestled on her slopes are a town, cemetery and old logging railroad. The streams that flow down the mountain’s sides provide water to Corvallis from the Rock Creek Watershed. Many of the lands surrounding Marys Peak were privately owned, until they were added to the Siuslaw National Forest to protect the source that provides Corvallis with 40% of their drinking water. The Mt Hood race is a Pacific Northwest classic. Almost all of the 50M and much of the 50K are run on the heavily-shaded Pacific Crest Trail. The 25K distance doesn’t use the PCT, but take racers around Clackamas and Timothy Lakes on some great single-track and double-track trails. The Mt Hood 50 Mile race fills up quickly so we use a lottery to give more people an opportunity to enter. Registration begins on Sunday January 1st at 7:00 a.m. Pacific and will stay open until the 7th at 6:00 pm Pacific. We will draw the names on Saturday, January 8th at TBA time/place with the first 150 selected getting into the race. Those not selected are placed onto the wait list in the order they are drawn. Volcanic is a rugged, remote, and challenging 50K+ and a 25K on Mt. St. Helens in Washington state. The 50K course runs entirely on single-track trails, circumnavigating the entire mountain. All but 4.5 miles are run on the Loowit Trail. Racers scramble over boulder fields, cross rivers, run through the blast zone, as well as through dense forest – all with ever-changing views of the volcano. The course is 32 miles and feels more like a 50-miler. In all, this Mt. St. Helens race has approximately 7,400 feet of elevation gain and 7,400 feet of loss. It’s tough, but so are you! The 25K gives runners a real Mt. St. Helens experience without having to run all the way around the volcano.
