Winter Predictor

A unique run/walk event where a category of awards are based on participants finishing closest to their predicted times. To be eligible for prediction awards, participants cannot wear a watch or other timing device. However, the use of a calendar, an hourglass or a sun-dial is acceptable. Upon registering, please indicate whether you’d like to be eligible for Prediction awards or Non-Prediction awards. Participants are only eligible for one award (Prediction OR Non-Prediction).

* Note on distances: The distance shown on the GPS MapMyRun links is an approximation. The actual race distances will be measured with a USATF certification device.
PREDICTION AWARDS
The top 25 individuals, in both distances, with finish times closest to their predicted times will receive awards. The overall male and female fastest runners and the closest male and female runners to their predicted times, in both distances, will receive a Champion Shirt. Times will be based on a chip start and chip finish.
NON-PREDICTION AGE GROUP AWARDS
Those participants choosing not to be eligible for Prediction awards will be eligible for the traditional age-group awards. The top three in each age group will receive awards.
THE GRAND PRIZE
If a participant finishes their event in the exact time as they predicted, she or he will win a $100 cash prize. There will only be one award – if more than one person finishes in their exact predicted time, then the winner will be drawn from a hat.
