Best in the West Events brings you a one-of-a-kind triathlon event that is a fun way to for families, groups of friends, age-groupers, and die-hard athletes alike to enjoy a weekend-long multi-sport relay event. The Triumph Iron Relay covers the distance of a full or half Iron-distance triathlon, however it is broken up over a weekend into a relay. Each leg concludes with a social event at a different venue each day. The swim is at Osborn Aquatic Center in Corvallis, the bike is at Emerson Vineyards in Monmouth, and the run is in Corvallis at Brandis Farms. Free camping is available for racers and their families at Brandis Farms Friday-Monday.
Participants complete any portion of the event distance they choose, from a single individual doing the whole thing up to a team with a maximum number of 10 individuals and a maximum of 5 on any given leg of the event. By the conclusion of the weekend, each team has completed the equivalent of an Iron or Half-Iron distance triathlon.

This weekend is all about socializing with other endurance minded people while hanging out with your friends and doing a bit of exercise. Doing the full with a team of 5 is like doing an Olympic distance tri, but over 3 days! The half? Just like a sprint distance. Feeling crazy? Take it on solo and get so much support all weekend long. We have great food each day, and you are sure to come away with some new friends and great memories. The half distance is great for families with kids! You can split up the laps anyway you like. Don’t swim? No problem! Get some swimmers for Friday and cheer them on. You can race the bike and or the run days! Put together a team of ringers, split it up evenly, or get your family into the action for a lap or two, your strategy is up to you!
