Race for Warmth
January 28, 2022 - January 30, 2022
$30
Join us January 28-30 for the virtual 2022 Race for Warmth!
For the eighth year, Clark Public Utilities invites runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to join us in the Race for Warmth and help raise funds for the utility’s heating assistance program Operation Warm Heart.
To protect the health and safety of utility employees and ensure the critical work of providing electric and water service to Clark County continues without impact from Covid-19, the 2022 race will again be held virtually. Participants will again receive a generous goodie bag of gifts from event partners, a custom event performance shirt, a commemorative race medal and so much more!
A virtual run is just like running a race with thousands of other people… just not all at the same place! Come race weekend, you pick your own start time and finish line. You can run, walk, bike around your block, choose a route in your neighborhood, choose a route on our website or even complete the race on your treadmill.
And even though we’re not together in person, we still want to see pictures and videos of you running, walking and anything else Race for Warmth Related! In lieu of prizes being awarded to racers with the fastest times, we’ll be doing raffle drawings leading up to and through the weekend of the race and giving out prizes to participants who tag us/submit images related to creative themes. Participants will receive an email with more details about raffle drawings, how to enter, and how to connect with fellow Race for Warmth participants from afar.
New this year! An added perk to participating in a virtual race is having your pet(s) join in on the fun as well! This year for only $5, you can register your pet to participate with you and they will receive a Race For Warmth pet bandana!
