March 6 @ 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM PST$50 – $70
START: What we learned last year is that spacing folks out at the start made for a little more pleasurable experience on course. So for 2022 we will be staggering the start again. Not individually but in small groups based on submitted pace. More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to race day.
Masks: Where one if you want.
PACE: Be sure to submit a realistic race pace during registration as we will organize start order based on that submitted pace. All races are chip timed so actual race time won’t start until you cross the start mat. We are organizing start order based on your pace submission.
Course: Taking place on the BLM trail network called Maston in between Tumalo and Redmond in the shadow of Cline Butte there are views of the Deschutes river, mountains of Central Oregon, and is just a cool trail through some juniper trees. A relatively flat course with only about 400′ of change this race is a good early season race to see how the engines running without too much demand on the early season legs.
Where: Maston Trail Network. To get there head west from Bend on Hwy 20 to Tumalo. Turn right on Cook ave. In .3 miles veer slightly right onto Cline Falls Hwy. Go 4.5 miles on the Hwy and take a right on Newcomb Rd. Take a left off of Newcomb at the Maston trail head sign.
Aid Station: Aid stations will be self service and we are going sans cups again so please bring your favorite contraption to drink from during your race.
Two aid stations along the course.
