Historically, road and trail racing has been a very local-spirit-heavy sport– you race against your community peers in an event put on by members of your community with funds raised by local businesses and participants. Of course, based on my race history, you might not know that preference.
On Saturday, March 15 the 13th Annual Run for the Music will be held at Klamath Union High School. This multi-distance event is a fund raiser for the KUHS Band. Run for the Music features a 5K, 10K, 1 mile Children’s Run, and even a 3 person 10K relay. All races will start at Klamath Union High School and end on the school track.

After the last few weeks of freezing temperatures in the Valley, I am ready for Spring and Summer to come now. But before then, the small Southern city of Talent is not letting Winter leave without a little frostbite. The Frostbite Run 10k and 5k is scheduled for Saturday, January 11.
