It’s hard to believe that the 2026 MLK Dream Run will be upon us before much longer, but this race is a great way to both celebrate all that Martin Luther King would have wanted to see in the world, and also a chance to support your local community. This non-profit event that’s hosted by the Soul District Business Association will be held on Sunday, September 20th.
Participants can look forward to a 5k, a 10k, or a 15k, and there’s a free kid’s run as well. All races will start and end at the PCC Cascade Campus in the Soul-Ful Vendor Village.
After the race day warm-up at 7:00AM, the 15k will start off the day’s races at 8:00AM sharp. The 10k will follow at 8:10AM and the 5k sweeps in at 8:20AM. Course maps will be emailed to registered participants and PDF’s are also available on the website.
All participants are encouraged to pick up race packets the day before the event to avoid some of the congestion on race day. All runners will get a swag bag with sponsored gifts, a Nike race shirt, and a cold beverage and grilled cheese sandwich (courtesy of Dave’s Killer Bread and Tillamook Cheese) after the race.
You’ll also get entry into a raffle for prizes from local businesses. Stick around for live music and fun in the Soul-Ful Vendor Village.
