Summer is upon us and the 2026 Hagg Lake Triathlon & Trail Festival is getting close! This multi-sport event brought to us by Why Racing is coming the weekend of June 20th and it’s going to be packed with fun!
This historical event is in it’s 45th year and I can’t think of a better venue than Henry Hagg Lake. This scenic location has rolling hills, gorgeous trails, and of course the beauty of Hagg Lake itself. This event is also one of the oldest Triathlon courses in the nation.
It’s a wonderful event for families and friends with so many different events to choose from, including relay options. Tent camping is also an option, so you can truly make a whole weekend of it.
Saturday June 20th will host the Olympic Triathlon, Duathlon, and AquaBike as well as the Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon, and AquaBike events. Sunday June 21st has the off-road Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon, and AquaBike events as well as the 5k Trail Run and the Half Marathon Trail Run. Those that choose to tackle any races on both Saturday and Sunday will earn Why Racing’s BEAST medal!
You can check out the maps for the 10k Olympic Run/Walk and the 5k Sprint Run that will take place on Saturday as part of the Tri and Du events as well as the Off Road 5k Run and the Off Road Half Marathon that are part of Sunday’s events.
All participants will receive commemorative t-shirts, finisher medals, and post-race refreshments (including delicious beverages from Backwoods Brewing Company.) There will also be awards and prizes and a super fun after-party. Consider joining your fellow athletes at Hagg Lake this summer!

- Packet Pick-Up: Friday June 19th from 10:00AM to 6:00PM at Foot Traffic Westside (13306 NW Cornell Road Portland, OR 97229) or on race days onsite starting at 7:00AM. Don’t forget your ID and USAT membership cards (if applicable.)
