Food insecurity is a serious issue, even in a world full of grocery stores and choices. In 2026, with soaring grocery prices and a weird Federal desire to make food access HARDER, many in our community rely on support just to make ends meet—and for some, access to food can be a matter of life and death.
Now in its 7th year, the Hunger Run in St. Helens is hosted by the Columbia Pacific Food Bank, which supports Columbia County’s food pantries, senior centers, community meal programs, and more.
The event on March 7th features 10K and 5K races that start and finish at the Columbia Pacific Food Bank, taking runners through downtown and historic Old Town St. Helens. Arrive early and stay after your run to visit informational vendors, collect swag, and enjoy the community atmosphere.
