Depending on when you’re reading this, you might be in the midst of a brisk and rainy Oregon spring. While the weather is always changing, those of us in the Willamette Valley don’t often face extended deep freezes. Instead, our primary focus is on gearing up for the seasons that define the Pacific Northwest—spring and fall—where rain and wind are constant companions.
That’s why having lightweight yet functional wind- and water-resistant gear is essential. If you live in this region, chances are you’re already familiar with GOREWEAR, a leader in performance running and cycling apparel. Their latest releases in the CONCURVE line – the CONCURVE 3d Graphic Windbreaker, are excellent additions to their lineup, designed to handle the unpredictable PNW weather and fuel your runs forward.

CONCURVE 3d Graphic Windbreaker
One of the standout features of the jacket is its innovative approach to tackling the dreaded “wet cling sensation.” Unlike traditional windbreakers that stick to your skin as you sweat, this jacket is made from a double-weave material with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. This design effectively manages moisture—both from rain and perspiration—while remaining lightweight and comfortable.
We previously reviewed the CONCURVE GORE-TEX Jacket, and somehow, this version feels even lighter and more breathable. While it’s not fully waterproof, it does a solid job of handling light-medium moisture, making it a great choice for variable conditions.
At just $100, the jacket is a bargain for runners who need a versatile jacket that can handle spring, fall, and winter conditions. It provides the right balance of breathability, protection, and affordability, making it a smart investment for outdoor enthusiasts. The CONCURVE Windbreaker line is available in a at least eleven total colorways – and with the addition of the cool new 3d Graphic designs, there are even more options.
Gore CONCURVE 7″ Shorts
The Gore CONCURVE 7″ shorts are as simple and straightforward as running shorts get. Available in four colorways, our black pair – and really any of the colors – prioritizes quality over visuals. The branding is nearly invisible, with a subtle logo on the bottom left hem, and there are no external pockets to break up the clean design. While I typically lean toward more colorful gear, I’m really appreciating the simplicity here.
But make no mistake—simple doesn’t mean lacking in quality. These shorts check all the boxes for a premium running experience. The fit is spot-on, the material offers the right amount of stretch for unrestricted movement. They’re incredibly lightweight, with minimal seams thanks to Gore’s “kinetic garment design.” The result? A “barely there” feel that truly delivers.
While there are no external pockets, the back waistband includes four small yet functional storage compartments—perfect for keys, credit cards, or gels. The CONCURVE 7″ shorts also come in three variations: the standard version we tested (which also comes in a 5″ length), a model with an integrated brief, and a 2-in-1 option. No matter your preference, there’s a version to fit your needs.
In short, if you’re looking for a no-frills, high-performance pair of running shorts, the Gore CONCURVE 7″ is an excellent choice.
