Ballet Meets Fitness: A Review of LSpace’s Set the Barre Collection

As someone who’s been practicing yoga consistently for a few years, I’ve noticed how much it has improved my running. Increasing flexibility and strength through yoga has helped me find a more consistent rhythm in my running routine.

Recently, I started exploring the world of Barre, which has been a bit more challenging for me to completely dive into. While it’s taken some time to adjust, I’m beginning to see similar benefits in terms of strength and flexibility, which in turn has positively impacted my running.

Despite not being built like a traditional ballerina—something that admittedly made me feel like a bit of a “fraud” at first—Barre is growing on me. And when I came across LSpace‘s new “Set the Barre” Collection, it felt like the perfect complement to my new fitness routine.

The collection is described as ballet-core inspired activewear, and while the branding focuses on grace and beauty, I’ll cut straight to it: this gear is downright cute. With soft hues and flattering fits, the collection is designed for everything from pliés to running errands. It’s a versatile line that merges fitness with fashion, taking you seamlessly from the studio to the street.

I tried the Sidelines Top and Leggings, two pieces that easily fit into both fitness and athleisure categories. While they aren’t designed for high-intensity activities like long runs, they’re perfect for yoga sessions, Barre workouts, and light fitness days. The gear is stylish enough to wear casually, too.

There are four pastel-based colorways in this collection, but I was particularly drawn to the Fawn/Cream option. The soft brown and cream tones are absolutely adorable. However, as cute as the set is, I was primarily interested in how functional it would be.

While it’s not specifically tailored for running, I found it to be an excellent choice for yoga. The quality is fantastic, and the fit is incredibly flattering—especially in the leggings (my butt looks great, if I do say so myself!).

The LSpace Set the Barre Collection is perfect for those days when you’re transitioning from the yoga mat to the Farmer’s Market. It’s a versatile line that prioritizes comfort and style. I can easily see myself reaching for these pieces this fall and beyond, whether for fitness sessions or casual outings.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to add a little ballet-inspired elegance to their fitness wardrobe.
