Drink to Run, or Run to Drink: 2024 Run Whiskey Run

If you have ever had to step to the side on a trail because a bike was flying through, this might be the race for you. Because at Run Whiskey Run, the trails are runner and walker only on Saturday, October 12. The course begins and ends at Whiskey Run Trailhead.

Participants can choose from three race distances that have just fabulous names: Shirley Temple (1.5 miles), Whiskey Ginger (5 miles), or Double Shot (10 miles, also the 5-mile course twice). Now as a trail run, it is important to know that these distances are estimated and probably (definitely) won’t match up with your mileage tracker. The distances are more estimates, or as the race team shares “kinda like the amount of whiskey consumption you report to your doctor!”

The course is shaded throughout. As the region’s first single-track trail system for mountain bikers (other days, not race day), the course is rolling, smooth, and just for human participants (sorry fido).
