Come out and support the Phoenix High School Track and Field team by registering for the Camelback 15k/5k on March 2nd. The funds generated will help pay for entry fees, , purchase new throwing implements and jumping equipment.
The races will start and finish on the newly finished Phoenix High School track, which previous year’s events raised money to complete. The 15k starts at 10am and the 5k will take off 15 minutes later, at 1015am.
The 15k course will take you through some back roads of Phoenix, and there will be some challenging hills ahead for you. The route is described as a classic, known to the distance runners of Phoenix as “Camelback” due to an enormous hill around the middle point of the run. The 5k is an out-and-back. Orchards, farms and beautiful country views will await you during your race. If you’d like to check out the routes, there’s a downloadable map.
So come out with the family and do the community of Phoenix some good while getting your sweat on!!
