Let’s Celebrate the Dads: 2023 Grateful Dad 5K, 10K, & Half (Milwaukie, OR)

When you sign up for a Terrapin Events race, you know you are signing up for a celebration. Most of their races center on a holiday, or on having a whole lot of fun in the mud. Their next event is Grateful Dad, where participants can celebrate the father figures in their life (maybe by running a 5K, 10K, or half marathon alongside them).

All three distances use an out-and-back route, with the half marathoners turning around near Ross Island Bridge. Most of the course is flat and paved (thank you Springwater!) so the event is open for the whole family, including little ones in strollers. Aid stations are throughout the course to support runners and walkers with their hydration needs.

Grateful Dad is at Elks Lodge in Milwaukie, so perfectly placed for plenty of preparation room before the race and party space afterward. The after-party will include live music, drinks, food, games, and an award ceremony for the top finishers in each distance. And friends and family are welcome to join in the party, even if they didn’t run the miles beforehand.
