Held in conjunction with the Spray Rodeo, the Eastern Oregon Half Marathon is the oldest half marathon in Oregon! This scenic race, which runs along the John Day River, will be held on May 27th. This run promises the possibility of a PR with a mere 12 foot elevation change on the paved course. And, if you aren’t feeling like a half marathon, you can choose the 5K or 10K option. Regardless of which distance you choose, registration is a bargain at just $35! All profits from this event will go to the Spray Rodeo Association.
Participants will take a shuttle from Spray School to the starting areas. Each distance will end in Spray with cheering crowds in town for the race, rodeo, and parade. Post-race there will be showers available at the school. Awards will be given for age division winners. And in keeping with the rodeo spirit, the top male and female winners will each receive a belt buckle. A fundraiser breakfast is also a post-race option, raising funds for Spray High School athletics.
Don’t forget the main event later in the day – the Spray Rodeo! Make sure you get tickets for the rodeo at just $15 and make it a day or a full weekend of activities.
