Alsea Falls Spring Fling 4/19/2014 (Monroe, Oregon)

Get Flung into Awesome at the Spring Fling Trail Runs

My goodness I am just far too excited to get back on the trails for some serious trail running adventures for 2023! Oregon Trail Runs is holding the 2023 Spring Fling Trail Run at Alsea Falls Recreation Area on Saturday, March 11th.

The Spring Fling event is the kick-off for the 2023 Oregon Trail Runs calendar of events. I love the name of this race, too; Spring Fling, because spring is right around the corner! For the Spring Fling event, you may choose from the Half Marathon or 10k, (limited to 250 racers,) or for the 5k, which is limited to 50 runners.

The courses are a lovely mix of both trails and gravel roads. This is a classic ‘hybrid’ style, and the gravel element makes for a more traditional trail race. Also, if you haven’t been to Alsea Falls before, you really should consider registering for this event purely to check out the area, and then bring the whole family back to enjoy throughout the entire spring and summer.

For half marathon participants, there is an early start of 9:30AM for slower runners and walkers. The regular start will be 10:00AM for the half, 10:15AM for the 10k, and 10:25AM for the 5k.

There will be one aid station located on the course. Single use water bottles will be available for use and recycling. You’ll also receive Hammer Nutrition Heed in your race packet to help get you to the finish.

Stick around after the race for a beverage and some pizza. (yum)! Awards 3 deep will be presented at noon and the food is coming just before that at 11:45AM.

This is race #2 in the Corvallis Trail Series

Definitely get registered ASAP, as the field of participants is limited, and you really don’t want to miss this trail race!
