The Newport Resolution Run on Saturday, January 7, 2023 not only offers a 5k, 10k, and half marathon, but also ties a Polar Bear Plunge into the event.
The half marathon starts first at 9am, followed by the shorter distances at 10am. You can view the courses here: the 5K and 10K are fast and flat, while the half marathon is a more challenging run, with a mix of pavement, singletrack trails, and gravel roads. The half marathon will have 4 aid stations and the 10K will have 2.
The plunge into the Pacific Ocean at the end is optional, but as they say…when in Rome!
Head to Rogue Brewing after the race to enjoy a drink and post-race food. For additional up-to-date information, follow the event on Facebook.

- Registration cost: 5k – $35; 10k – $450; half – $50;
- Packet Pickup: Early packet pickup is on Friday from 6:00 pm – 7:30pm at the Rogue Brewery. Race day packet pickup will begin at 7:30am at the Rogue Brewery or at the starting line. The Rogue Brewery is about 1 mile from the starting line so be sure to give yourself time to pick up your packet and get to the starting line.
