Don’t we all need a little more fancy in our lives? Especially when that fancy can do some good for others.
If you agree, consider joining in The Fanciest 5K. Ever. this November 13 in Salem. For those who want to get all the joy but can’t make it in person, not to worry: there is a virtual race option. The in-person event begins at West Salem Courthouse Club Fitness and loops through Wallace Marine Park. The pre-race and after-parties include a photo booth, snacks, and prizes.

The Fanciest 5K. Ever. route
All participants are encouraged to walk, run, or strut this 5K in their formal wear. It is the perfect chance to bring out that tuxedo or bridesmaid dress that has been in the back of the closet for way too many years. Or just pick out as many things with glitter or sequins as possible. Fancy is as fancy does.
All money raised through The Fanciest 5K. Ever. goes to Safety Compass, a local organization offering support to survivors of sexual exploitation and sex-trafficking in the mid-Willamette Valley. Safety Compass offers in-person support for survivors, specialized training for professionals and community members, and advocacy during law enforcement interviews.
Now, with all that in mind, are you ready for some fancy?
