Everyone should have a favorite running shirt. For some, it rotates based on the last one you got from your most recent event. For others, you have one or two you’ve gotten from your local or running store. Either way, that perfect running shirt is a real thing, and it’s often the first one you think of when getting dressed for your next run or race.
Recently, I was asked to review a new shirt from Rab Equipment. For those not familiar with Rab, they’ve been around since 1981 and are most known for their mountain climbing gear and clothing. In the last few years they have jumped into the mountain running scene and have produced some high quality clothing, including the Sonic Ultra Tee.
The Sonic Tee is “built with quick-wicking Motiv™ Aero fabric and a movement optimised cut, this mountain running short sleeve tee is designed to keep you cool and comfortable.” Additionally, the Sonic Tee is part of Rab’s Skyline Collection, and boasts being breathable and lightweight.
After several runs, both long and short, the Sonic Tee fits well, breathes well, and is super comfortable. I wore it with and without my vest. The big plus is the fit and how the shirt doesn’t even feel like it’s on. It’s that comfortable. It doesn’t hurt that it looks good too!
Ultimately, I have found my new favorite running shirt. I seriously can’t think of a negative thing to say about it, nor do I want to!
