This is going to be a FABulous trail race – and registration is limited for the 2022 Mary’s Peak Trail Runs, brought to us by Oregon Trail Runs, which takes place on May 14th, 2022. You may choose from the 50 Miler, the 50k, or the 25k distance, all of which are divine picks!
After parking in Blodgett bright and early, race participants for the 50k and 25k will depart the parking area via bus and be driven to the base of Mary’s Peak. The 50 miler does not require a shuttle bus and is a double ascent. It’s said to be one of the toughest in American, in part for all the roots and rocks on the terrain, but is also known to be extremely beautiful.
All 50k racers will run 16 miles in the Siuslaw National Forest, through Starker Forest (private land), and cruise into a nice finish at Blodgett School. For those of us (yep, me too!!) participating in the 25k, we’ll enjoy the sights of Mary’s Peak, then finish at Blodgett School. The post race festivities are sure to be incredible! Note that Mary’s Peak is a demanding 4,097 feet high; and 25k racers will have a 3,000 foot elevation gain during their race, with the 50k racers experiencing 6,000 feet elevation gains and 50 miler participants gaining almost 10,000 feet in elevation.

A drop bag option will be available for this race. Please be sure to give your drop bag to race organizers in the AM, labeled with your runner bib number and aid station where you’d like it dropped. You should also label which distance you are running on the bag. Drop bags can be placed for the 50M and 50k at aid station Alpha and/or Charlie. Bags will be numerical and placed on the right side of the road.
When you are completely done with your drop bag, please put it on the left side of the road to signal that it’s ready to be taken back to the school for the end of your race. It is suggested that you sanitize them or put them in a rubber container in your vehicle to be washed when you return home if you are not planning to put them in a gallon ziplock bag to be placed in the garbage.
Hammer Nutrition Products will be available on course and at the start of the race and PB and J sandwiches on Dave’s Killer Bread will be available.
As this race is limited to 300 participants, make sure you get registered for this race in advance! The field is small, the course will be incredible, and I can’t wait to run with you all as I complete this 25k trail race! This will truly be a one of a kind experience, and an awesome ultra distance run for you 50k/50 milers to brag about!
