Call Front Seat and Head to the 2022 Shotgun Trail Blast Trail Races (Marcola)

It’s time! Time to get registered for the 2nd race in the Run Big Trail Series, a collection of trail races presented by Level 32 Racing. This event is aptly titled the Shotgun Trail Blast – wear some orange!

Mud? Hills? Water crossings? Trees and spectacular views? Did this garner your attention? If so, this race is definitely for you! Whether you are participating in the Run Big Trail Series in entirety, or just want to add a kickin’ trail race to your race calendar, register for this bad boy now!

Taking place on Saturday, April 2nd, at the Shotgun Creek recreation area in Marcola, Oregon, participants can choose to race in the 50k, 25k, 10k or 5k distances. The 50k and 25k courses will be a multi-loop style course on single track trails, and will include such thrilling trail racing obstacles as wildlife and stream crossings with rock bridges, and be quite thickly wooded! The 10k and 5k course will be on a loop of single track trails located to the north of the Shotgun Creek Campground, featuring an elevation gain of 566 feet per loop.

Aid stations will be prominently featured for all four race distances. The 5k and 10k will each have two aid stations. The 25k will have aid set-up at 8 spots, and the 50k will have 17 aid-stations.

Incredible hand carved wood finisher medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in each race distance! The top three finishers in each age group/distance will receive a finisher medal, and everyone is eligible for random prizes.  After you cross the finish line, grab some of the pre-packaged snacks and beverages.

Details:

What: 2022 Shotgun Trail Blast 50k/25k/10k/5k

When: Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. 8:00AM for 50k, 8:30AM for 25k, and 9:00AM for 5k/10k.

Where: Shotgun Creek Recreation Area – northwest of Marcola, Oregon

Cost: 50k is $60, 25k is $40, and the 10k or 5k is $30 through April 1. Add $5 for race day registration. Add $10 for an event tech shirt. Participants 17 and under of 60+ deduct $5.
