Race Preview: 2022 Silver Falls Trail Challenge 1/4 Marathon & 1/2 Marathon

If you’ve never had the opportunity to run at Silver Falls State Park in Sublimity, OR, it should at least be on your bucket list. If you want to make that bucket list a reality, sign up today for the 2022 Silver Falls Trail Challenge, hosted by Bivouac Racing. This race will be held this year on March 6th, 2022 and you’ll have a ¼ Marathon and a ½ Marathon to choose from.

I’ve run around Silver Falls many times, and the beauty of the trails there never gets old. Whether you’re a first timer or a seasoned trail runner, you’ll love the scenic views. Prepare to see several amazing waterfalls and encounter about 800 feet of elevation gain on the course.

The ¼ Marathon will begin at 9:30AM at the South Falls Day-Use Area of the park and the cost is $45 unless you wait until the last minute and register day-of, in which case you’ll pay $10 more (cash or check only.) The route will take runners on a gorgeous loop around the trail.

The ½ Marathon will begin a half hour earlier than the ¼ distance, at 9:00AM. The cost for this distance is $55 or $65 if you wait until the day of the race to register. This option will also begin at the South Falls Day-Use Area to take runners on the same loop as the ¼ distance, but you’ll get an additional loop to reach the full ½ marathon distance.

Silver Falls State Park will collect a $6 fee per car (cash or card, again) to park. Packet pick up will be on race day and will begin at 7:00AM.

Get ready! You won’t regret this one!!
