Shamrock Run Portland is BACK!

As a general rule of thumb, we don’t typically re-post press releases all that often. However, it’s been a minute (2019!) since we have had one of the (if not THE) premier Oregon races operating in person – the Shamrock Run Portland! Thus, we wanted to ensure you had the basic information at your fingertips as you start to plan your yearly race schedule.

Opening Day of Running Season in Portland,  Shamrock Run Portland will return live, in-person on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Local runners can “commit to fit” and beat the New Year’s Price increase by registering for the lowest price of the year at Prices for all distances will increase in 2022.

Sunday, March 13 – RACE DAY

The event starts and finishes on SW Naito Parkway and all of Shamrock’s routes offer sweeping views of Portland’s skyline, Willamette River waterfront and at least seven unique bridges.

  • The Shamrock Run Portland, one of the largest special events in the city, returns for the first time since 2019 due to the ongoing pandemic.
  • No community event showcases the diversity and uniqueness of Portland like the Shamrock Run.
  • Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Foundation is the event’s beneficiary. The Hospital Foundation has partnered with Shamrock Run for over two decades; during this time Shamrock Run has donated over $550,000 in event proceeds to help fuel Doernbecher’s mission.
