Pacific Northwest Marathon like many other races had to make a few last minute changes due to what’s going on in world right now, but they are making 2021 happen! The race directors have been working hard over the last many weeks making sure we get to run on September 18th. There will be some changes to this years race but it’s still going to be a quality event, a fantastic course and to those of you trying to quality for Boston, no worries here! The race director is working hard to make this happen!
If this race is on your last minute list, the last day to register is the 10th! This year PNW is offering a half marathon and a full marathon. Both races will start and end at Harrisburg Middle School (201 S 6th St. Harrisburg, OR 97446 on the corner of Smith and 6th street). Both races will start and end off of Smith. An updated map will be on their website in the coming days. The half marathon will be an out and back. The full will be running the half course two times. I have ran this race in past years. It’s a very flat course on beautiful country roads. I’m certainly looking forward to running again this month.
Packet pick up will be at the Middle School close to the start/finish area on Thursday from 5-7:00pm and Friday from 5-8:00pm. When you arrive on race day there will be plenty of parking on the streets around the Middle School neighborhood. The full marathon will start at 7:00am and the half 8:00am. Both will have a staggered start to help with social distancing.
