The 42nd annual Corvallis Fall Festival Run will take place on Sunday, September 26 in conjunction with the town’s fall festival. The 5k and 10k start together at 9am, the kids 1k will follow at 10:30am. Both courses will take you through and around the campus of Oregon State University. The 5k course is a loop from McNary Field west on Campus Way, south on 26th St around Reser Stadium, north on 30th St, a block west on Jefferson, north on 35th, and then east back to the start. The 10k course is an out-and-back course with starts the same as the 5k, but just after the 2 mile mark, 10k runners head west on Campus way, past the covered bridge to the turnaround/halfway point before heading just about the same way back.
Registration is now open. Cost for the 5k or 10k is $30 through August 29, $35 through September 22, and $40 on the day of the race. Youth age 18 and under only pay $20. The kids run costs $5. Registration includes race entry and an event T-shirt. The event is presented by Heart of the Valley Runners, and the proceeds are distributed as community grants according to the club’s mission.
