Race Preview: 2021 SW5K (Beaverton)

This summer evening family 5K is scheduled to return on Sunday, August 29th, with some details still tentative at this time.

SW5K is part of the ‘Outdoor Sunday Evenings’ event series at SWBible Church. It offers separate start times for a 5K run and 5K walk, and a 1-mile fun run later in the evening after the 5K races conclude. It’s a family-friendly event with age group awards from the under-12s all the way to 60+, and a course along suburban neighborhood sidewalks and paved trails. The course offers some hills, and the competitive contingent has been growing, but it remains a fun and friendly event for all.

This race offers chip timing, bag check, finisher medals, overall and age group awards. In previous years, the evening has also included lawn games and food, but as organizers keep an eye on the latest health advice those details will be confirmed soon.
